a)My favorite food is Korean food because obviously I am Korean. But I like to try all different kind of food, too.

a)My mother does the most of cooking in my home because I am very busy. So, although I want to help my mother, I cannot help her. I don't have enough time.

q)What do people in your country like to do in their spare time?

a)People in my country like to go to the movies because they like to see all different kinds of movies from all around the world.

 

q)What is the most popular form of entertainment in your country?

a)The most popular form of entertainment in Korea is going to the movies. Whenever I go to the movies, it's really harm for me to get a right ticket. It seems that every time I go there, everybody else also wants to see the movies. So I think the most popular form of entertainment in Korea is going to the movies.

 

 

7.Sport

q) What it your favorite sport?

a)My favorite sport is soccer. Well, I don't like to play soccer, bot I like watching it on TV.

a)As I already told you, I don't like to play sports, but I like watching it on TV.

q)What do you usually do on weekends?

a)I like to read a book no weekends because I have a lot of time on weekends. So, I can be relaxed at my home and read a book without any pressure(=stress).

 

q)Who do you usually meet on weekends?

a)I usually meet my friends on weekends because we can do very many things together such as going to the movies, going shopping and eating out.

 

 

9. English Study

q) Why do you study English?

a) I study English because I want to go abroad and study in Universities in Australia. In order to get into universities in Australia, I have to get a good score on IELTS test. So, I am studying English very hard.

a) I have been studying English for two years. Actually, I studied English when I was in junior high school and high school, but it was not very helpful. So, I thing I have been studying English just for two years.

q) What do you want to do when you go abroad?

a)When I go abroad, I will go to university and graduate very good score and then I want to get a very nice job. After I save some money, I will study again.

 

q)What do you think you will do in 5 years?

a)In 5 years, I will get a nice job in Australia.

q) How often do you go traveling?

a) I go traveling once a year because I am a very busy person so I don't have much time.

 

q)Where do you want to go when you go abroad?

When I go abroad, I want to go to Australia because I heard Australia is a very fantastic country where I can see a lot of interesting things and beautiful buildings. So I want to experience all different kinds of sceneries in Australia.

 

 

12. Your Home

q) Where is your house?

a) My house is located in near Gang nam station in YukSamdong. There is a very tall building right beside my house is Prudential Life. So anybody who come to my house can find it very easily.

a) Well, I think my neighbors are very nice. They're always kind to me and they always smile at me. Also, there are very many interesting places to go mear my house including Gang nam station, Coex mall, and Dongdaemoon.

q) What kind of a person were you when you were a child?

a)When I was a child, I was very shy. I did not have very many friends and I always wanted to come back home from school so early because I didn't have many friends.

 

q) What is your best memory in your childhood?

a)The best memory in my childhood is that I got a very good score on my text when I was in grade 4 in elementary school. I was very glad because I studied for the test very hard. I was also happy because my parents were very happy. They were proud of me. So it was my best memory.

 

 

14. Traditions and Culture

q) What are some main customs in your country?

a) In Korea, people are very polite. For example, when they see old people, they always bow to the old people. Also, when they talk to old people, they always use formal language. So, I think most of Korean customs are based on politeness.

 

q) How different do you think korean culture is from other cultures?

a) Well, I think Korean culture is based on Confucianism. But, other cultures especially in the United States, they are based on westernized thoughts. So I think Korean culture is much more polite in a way.

 

 

 

15. Changes in Korea

q) Describe the major changes of Korean society.

a) Well, there have been very many changes of Korean society. Two of the major changes are housing styles and traffic. Frist of all, the housing styles of Korean society have been changed a lot. In the past, they were usually one-story buildings. But nowadays, they were usually high-rise apartments. Also, the traffic has changed a lot. In the past, we had very few cars. But right now, there are very many cars on the street. So, traffic jam is always one of the most serious problems in Seoul. So, I think there have been very many changes in Korean society.

 

q) Do you think there has been a change in family structures of Korea?

a) Well, in the past, korean families were usually extended families. But, nowadays, Korean families are usually nuclear families, We only have parents and their children in our family. I think it is the effect from westernized countries.

q) What is the main transport in your country?

a)The main transport in Korea is subway system because we have very many different kinds of lines and people use subway lines for very many times. So, I think subway system is one of the most important transports in Korean society.

 

q) What is your favorite transport?

a) My favorite transport is subway because there is no traffic jam in subway system so I can be on time.

 

 

 

 

17. Marriage in Korea

q) How old do people in your country usually get married?

a) In Korea, men usually get married when they are 30 but women usually get married when they are 27 years old. I women should get married earlier.

 

q) What is the most important thing when you look for a spouse?

a) When I was young, I use to look for a appearance of the person. But nowadays, I value the personality of the person more because I think personality is much more important than appearance.

 

 

 

 

18.Environment

q)What is the most serious pollution in your hometown?

a)In my hometown, the most serious pollution is air pollution because in Seoul there are too many cars. So the bad gas from all those cars causes very serious air pollution in my city. So, I think air pollution is one of the most serious pollution in Seoul.

 

 

 

19.Lifestyle

q) Do you smoke? Why?

a) No, I don't smoke because I hate the odor of the smoking cigarette. Also, I heard it's very bad for our health. Sometimes, it causes lung cancer. So I think smoking is very bad. So I don't smoke.

 

q) Do you drink a lot? Why?

a) Yes, I drink a lot because in Korea, whenever we meet our friends, we usually drink beers or other kind of liquors. So drinking is one of the Korean culture. That‘s why I drink a lot.
